Built on top of our Hexydec Framework software, Hexydec CMS takes web database management to the next level. Through a unified interface, Hexydec CMS enables our customers to manage their dynamic website data with ease.
What is Hexydec CMS
Hexydec CMS is an online application that enables website administrators to remotely edit the data in their MySQL database, through a comprehensive and intuitive interface.
The software allows simple navigation of complex data through a nodetree interface, data can be searched through keyword entry, refined by node selection, sorted, grouped, and view as related to other datasets.
The core concept of data management in Hexydec CMS, is the ability to see the relationships between data. The nodetree interface can display your data as related to other datasets in your database, and drop-down menu controls display your data in hierarchical groups, enabling you to see which node of data you are selecting at a glance.
Records are edited through the editing pane where each column in the database table is bound to an editing control, such as textbox, checkbox, drop-down menu, or image upload/resize control. All data entered by the user is verified on the server and appropriate feedback given. The parameters by which the inputted data is verified is also highly configurable.
What makes Hexydec CMS different?
There are many off-the-shelf and open-source Content Mangement Systems available these days, offering many different levels of functionality, complexitiy, ease of use, and plugins. Where most of these systems meet is that they all require that you build your website with that system in order to be able to content manage it.
This is where Hexydec CMS is different, it interacts with your websites' database and file system only, giving you the freedom to build your website using any custom or pre-built software, using any scripting language. The only requirements are that the items that you wish to content manage are stored in a normalised database structure.
Hexydec CMS gives you the freedom to create websites and applications with completely bespoke data structures, and still have the ability to provide website administrators with a comprehensive platform to manage the data in an intuitive manner.

Hexydec CMS has been developed as an online service for design agencies to be able to offer their clients a robust content management solution to compliment their in-house developed websites.
For many design agencies, their focus in driving business for their clients is in design, branding, and marketing. Whilst producing front-end online services as part of these productions can be achieved with a fairly basic knowledge of web application development, providing a robust bespoke Content Management solution can be more complex, costly, and problematic.

The look and feel of Hexydec CMS is highly customisable, each item that is configured in the system can be assigned an icon to help end users quickly see what they are editing, custom icons can be created for use within your clients' control panels. The system can also be skinned with your own branding colours and logo.
